We use Quickstep Laminate amongst others who have been market leaders for many years. The surface is more hardwearing than real wood & some are extremely realistic looking. Laminate is also easier on the pocket than Engineered Oak.

engineered wood

Engineered Wood is made in layers to form a strong stable softwood base with a Real wood top. Normally 14-20mm total thickness with varying thickness of wear-layer of 3-6mm. There are different types of installation depending on the sub-floor & required feel of the floor when complete. Good quality Engineered oak is a must. A cheap oak floor can present all sorts of problems in the future. All our Engineered floors are excellent quality with good length boards & choices of finish. We can explain all this when we visit to measure your job.
